Software & BSP

OpenWrt BSP for K1/K3, Bianbu OS and Ubuntu bring-up, RT-Thread and bare-metal firmware for the CH32V family, plus driver development for peripherals that have no upstream driver yet.

What is included

How it works

LinuxOpenWrt 23.05 targets for the SpacemiT K1, Bianbu OS and Ubuntu 26.04 LTS for the K3. The K3 is RVA23 compliant, so it runs a stock distribution without out-of-tree patches — initial support is merged in Linux 7.0.
MCU firmwareBare-metal and RT-Thread on the CH32V family using MounRiver Studio, PlatformIO or the ch32v003fun toolchain. Single-wire SDI debug with WCH-LinkE.
DriversPeripheral drivers for parts that ship without upstream support: CAN-FD stacks, Ethernet-to-serial bridges, custom sensors on I2C/SPI.
MaintenanceKernel and BSP maintenance over the product lifetime. Long-term supply means nothing if the software stops receiving security updates.

Questions

Which OS do you recommend for the K1?

OpenWrt 23.05 for gateway and networking products. It is the best maintained option for the K1 and gives you a standard network stack, firewall and package feed out of the box.

Can we keep our existing Yocto or Buildroot tree?

Yes, if you already have one. We port the BSP into your tree rather than forcing you onto ours.

Tell us the application and the volume. We will come back with scope, lead time and a quote.
